NHL Rumors: New York Islanders Making Push For Top Free Agent

Nazem Kadri is the top free-agent forward still on the market. According to Kevin Kurz, the Islanders are making a push for the veteran center.

It isn't hard to understand why the Islanders are being linked to Kadri. Their scoring woes were a major reason why they missed the playoffs in 2021-22, so getting a player like him would be a way to fix that. In 71 games this past season with the Avalanche, Kadri had 28 goals to go along with 87 points.

Kadri would provide the Islanders with an excellent second-line center. New York's offseason has been extremely quiet, but boy, signing Kadri would be a way to help salvage it.
