NHL Rumors: Oilers Forward Finished In Edmonton
Jesse Puljujarvi's name has been in the rumor mill since the end of the Oilers' playoff run, and now things are continuing to escalate. According to Mark Spector, the 2016 first-round pick is "ready to move on for a fresh start." The Oilers, on the other hand, are "ready to oblige" and are speaking with multiple teams about the winger.
It's pretty clear that Puljujarvi's time as an Oiler is coming to a close. Both parties simply want to move on, and based on this report, a trade is on the way. Yet, with Puljujarvi's trade request out in the open, it could lower his trade value a bit.
Puljujarvi scored 14 goals and recorded 36 points in 65 games this campaign. However, he also cooled off immensely during the playoffs, as he had just two goals and an assist in 16 games.
