NHL Rumors: Penguins Interested In Stars Defenseman

According to The Fourth Period, John Klingberg is on the Penguins' radar.

Klingberg is set to become a UFA and is viewed as one of the top right-handed defensemen potentially hitting the market. The Penguins have one of their own in Kris Letang, so if they end up losing the veteran, it wouldn't be surprising at all to see Pittsburgh immediately make a push for Klingberg.

If signed by the Penguins, Klingberg would provide the team with an excellent offensive defenseman. It's hard to believe that Sidney Crosby wouldn't love having him quarterbacking the power play if the opportunity presented itself.
