Giroux put up 65 points (21 goals & 44 assists) in 75 games, split between the Flyers and Panthers, this past season.
For his career, the thirty-four year old has 294 goals, 629 assists, for 923 points in 1018 games.
Giroux is a phenomenal all-around player, with great playmaking abilities. He will pair very nicely with one of the best scorers in the league in Alex DeBrincat.
Ottawa's manager, Pierre Dorion, continues to make some great offseason decisions.
Pierre Dorion basically stole DeBrincat from Chicago, dumped Matt Murray cap hit and upgraded in net by trading for Talbot now he has just signed Claude Giroux. That’s some amazing business by a guy who none of us thought would be able to do it.
