Panthers Sign Forward

The Florida Panthers have signed forward Rudolfs Balcers to a one-year deal, worth $750K annually.

The twenty-five year old appeared in 61 games for the Sharks this past season, scoring 11 goals and 12 assists. Balcers is a solid third-line forward with a decent all-around game and good playmaking abilities. He adds some nice middle of the lineup depth to the Panthers.

For his career, Balcers has played 153 NHL games and scored 25 goals and 32 assists.

Balcers was bought out by the Sharks on July 12th.
