Panthers Sign Forward

 

The Panthers have signed forward Gerry Mayhew to a one-year deal worth $750K annually.

Mayhew split time between the Flyers and Ducks this past season, scoring 11 goals and one assist in 40 NHL games. In 24 games played for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the twenty-nine year old scored nine goals and seven assists for sixteen total points. 

The former AHL MVP has played 57 career NHL games, putting up 13 goals and two assists in those games. 

Mayhew had solid showings in Philadelphia and Anaheim this past season and should get a shot to make the Panthers roster this season. At the very least, he adds some fourth line depth to the team.
