Predators And Blue Jackets Complete Trade

The Blue Jackets have acquired Mathieu Olivier from the Predators in exchange for their 2022 fourth-round pick (122nd overall).

Olivier will provide the Blue Jackets with far more toughness. Over the past three seasons, he has appeared in 48 games with Nashville, where he has three goals, four assists, and 88 penalty minutes. With that, he also recorded 102 hits over that span. 

Olivier will be fighting for a spot in Columbus' bottom six from here. Nashville, on the other hand, have landed themselves another draft pick. Can't have too many of those.
