Predators Sign Winger
The Predators have signed Nino Niederreiter to a two-year, $8 million contract.
Niederreiter was one of the top UFA forwards left, and interest in his services was increasing because of it. Yet, the Predators are now the winners of the sweepstakes and have added a very good middle-six winger to their roster.
Niederreiter just put together a strong campaign for the Hurricanes, as he scored 24 goals and recorded 44 points. He will provide Nashville with more secondary scoring, which is something they certainly need. With that, he should be a fine addition to their power play, too.
Overall, this contract is reasonable when it comes to both its cap hit and term. Thus, it's hard to find much to complain about with this move. Good signing by Nashville!
