Rangers Sign Forward
The Rangers have signed Ryan Carpenter to a one-year, $750,000 contract.
With the Rangers losing Kevin Rooney to the Flames, it makes sense that they are adding another bottom-six option in Carpenter. Carpenter will be competing for a fourth-line spot from here. He is a good depth player to have around, as he can play both center and right wing.
In 67 games this season split between the Blackhawks and Flames, Carpenter scored three goals and recorded 12 points. Although he isn't dominant offensively, his gritty style of play will make him a welcomed addition to the Blueshirts.
