David Perron continues to put up impressive stats year over year, this past season scoring 27 goals and 30 assists for 57 points across 67 games. In 12 playoff games, Perron scored 9 goals and 4 assists.
The thirty-four year old veteran is a top-six winger who likes to play his game around the perimeter. With the ability to score goals and his powerplay efficiency, paired with his solid defensive game, Detroit will benefit greatly from Perron on their roster.
Red Wings are making the most of their available cap space, as they continue to add pieces on the first day of free agency. Perron joins Copp, Maatta, Chiarot, Luff, and Kubalik as new players signed by Detroit today.
