Sabres Bring Back Defenseman
The Sabres have signed Lawrence Pilut to a one-year, $750,000 contract.
There were rumblings that the Sabres were interested in bringing Pilut back to Buffalo, and now it's officially come to fruition. Pilut left the Sabres after the 2019-20 season to play in the KHL. Now, he is heading back to North America for 2022-23.
Pilut recorded 11 assists in 40 games this past season with Traktor Chelyabinsk. He should be in the running for a spot on their NHL roster this fall. Let's see if he can become a part of their top six from here.
