Seattle Kraken Sign Forward
The Seattle Kraken have taken care of some internal business as the team announced they have re-signed forward Ryan Donato to a one-year contract worth $1.2 million.
The 26-year-old forward is coming off a career season where he put up 16 goals in 74 games for the Kraken in 2021-22. He was able to take advantage of some newfound ice-time on the expansion team and looks to grow into an even bigger role for year two.
Donato has spent time in the Boston Bruins organization, along with the San Jose Sharks and Minnesota Wild. He originally signed a one-year deal worth $750,000 with the Kraken before last season, as his production led to a nice pay raise heading into next year.

The Kraken are desperate for more offense, so they have high hopes Donato will be able to build off his 16 goals. Kraken GM Ron Francis had this to say about the news:
Ryan elevated his game last season, and we're happy to have him return to the Kraken. He completed a career year and will hopefully eclipse that in 2022-23.
