Seattle Signs Goaltender

The Seattle Kraken have signed goaltender Martin Jones to a one-year deal, worth $2 million.

Martin Jones is back in the Pacific Division, where he spent the first eight seasons of his career.

The Flyers gambled that Jones would bounce back from his three prior poor seasons, when they signed him at the beginning of the 2021-22 season, but that didn't exactly happen. Jones went 12-18, with a .900 save percentage and a 3.42 goals against average.

Now the Kraken are taking a gamble on the thirty-two year old, not a cheap one though, at the price of $2 million for this upcoming season.

For his career, Jones has a 198-150 record, a .907 save percentage and 2.68 goals against average. He was also a Stanley Cup winner with the Los Angeles Kings in 2014.
