Buffalo Sabres Announce The Return Of An Iconic Jersey
Despite years of rebuilding and struggling to put a good product on the ice, the Buffalo Sabres became one of the most fun teams to watch in the NHL a year ago, and with Peyton Krebs, Alex Tuch, Tage Thompson, Owen Power and other young players coming through, that trend should continue well into 2022/23. They may not be playoff ready yet, but with a young core on a team that most fans would like to see get better, they'll be a team to keep an eye on, especially after the latest news that the team announced today.
Over the past few years, we've seen plenty of iconic jerseys from the past brought back or reimagined, and in 2022/23, it's the Sabres turn, as they announced the return of the fantastic black and red jersey that fans have been clamouring for.
Will this improve the product on the ice on its own? No. But this, along with the young talent coming through is going to give Sabres fans plenty of optimism for the future, and if the product on the ice can improve, this is a team that could be drawing in big-time free agents in the not too distant future.Black and red is BACK. 😤
