Carolina Hurricanes Star Forward To Have Surgery
Carolina Hurricanes forward Max Pacioretty is set to have surgery on Wednesday to repair a torn Achilles. As a result of this, he will be sidelined for the next six months.
Pacioretty was one of the Hurricanes' major additions this offseason, so fans were naturally excited to see him make his debut on Opening Night. Yet, that of course can not happen given this development, and they will have to wait until at least February to see the star in action.
Injuries have been hitting Pacioretty a lot as of late. During the 2021-22 season, he was limited to just 39 games with the Vegas Golden Knights. Still, he was excellent when healthy, as his 19 goals and 37 points show effectively.
Alas, here's to hoping everything goes smoothly with his recovery and that he can make a big impact for the Hurricanes when healthy.
