Detroit Red Wings Re-Sign Forward
The Detroit Red Wings have signed Filip Zadina to a three-year contract. He will carry a $1.825 million cap hit.
Zadina was the Red Wings' last remaining restricted free agent. The former top prospect has had trouble reaching his full potential and will be aiming to take a step in the right direction in 2022-23. In 74 games this past season, the 22-year-old winger had 10 goals and 24 points in 74 contests.
If Zadina can get his progression back on track and be a bigger threat from here, this contract could end up becoming an excellent one for the Red Wings. Yet, getting him signed for under $2 million is certainly solid already.
