The 29-year-old rugged forward spent last season with the Montreal Canadiens organization and was used sparingly. Paquette appeared in 24 games with the NHL club, recording only two assists, meanwhile was also sent down to the Laval Rocket of the AHL, where he played 14 games and scored nine times.
It's been quite the few years for Paquette who went from a huge piece of the Tampa Bay Lightning to now finding himself on the outside looking in at the NHL. The former fourth-round pick of the Lightning has appeared in 448 NHL regular season games and another 95 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
