The twenty-six-year-old was acquired from the Florida Panthers in the trade that saw the Canucks send former highly touted prospect, and first-round pick, Olli Juolevi to the Panthers.
Lammikko was a regular in the Canucks' lineup this past season, averaging 12 minutes of ice time across 75 games. It comes as a surprise that the young forward didn't receive an offer from an NHL team, as he could play a serviceable bottom-six role.
It remains to be seen if Lammikko will return to North America to continue his professional hockey career in the future.
