Kadri just completed a career year with the Colorado Avalanche, helping lead them to the Stanley Cup, while posting personal highs in points (87), assists (59) and TOI (19:14). He added 15 points in 16 playoff games.
The 31-year-old spent the past three seasons in the Mile High City, after seven years with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The New York Islanders were seen as the heavy favorites to land him, even as recently as last week, but the Flames have swooped in to complete a major offseason overhaul of their lineup.
