NHL 23 Cover Athletes Revealed

Like every year, the newest NHL video game from EA has been hotly anticipated, and up until recently, there hadn't been much news, if any related to the newest instalment in the 'Chel' series. That was until today, when EA revealed who the cover athletes for the game would be: Anaheim's Trevor Zegras and Canada's gold-medal winning Sarah Nurse.

As you can see in the above tweet,  the full cover itself will be revealed tomorrow, August 25, but for now, the X-Factor edition cover is something we've never quite seen on an NHL game before. The cover shows rising star Zegras, who's become a fan favourite for his flashy play on the ice, and Team Canada's Sarah Nurse, who has been instrumental in several gold medals for her home country, depicted in front of palm trees with a nice sunny background, something you'd see related to street ball in California, not the NHL.

The hope is that this signals some form of side game mode on the upcoming NHL 23 involved with street ball, but we will only know that for sure once the full reveal hits tomorrow. As of right now, the cover has got fans heavily divided, so hopefully EA can put out a great reveal tomorrow and continue to have fans excited for the latest instalment in the NHL series.
