NHL Rumors: Vancouver Canucks Goalie To Be Traded
Earlier this offseason, the Vancouver Canucks gave Michael DiPietro permission to look for a trade. Now, according to Rick Dhaliwal, one source said that "there is interest" and "a deal that could make sense for the Canucks."
DiPietro's placement on the Canucks' depth chart has fallen to the point where any chance of a long-term call-up in Vancouver is unlikely. This naturally has led the 23-year-old to seek opportunities elsewhere, and with this report from Dhaliwal, we could finally see him moved.
In three career NHL appearances, DiPietro has a 0-2-0 record, 5.25 GAA, and .771 SV%.
