3 Philadelphia Flyers Dealing With Injuries
The Philadelphia Flyers are getting the injury bug early this preseason, as Carter Hart, Cam Atkinson, and Artem Anisimov are each currently sidelined with separate injuries. Thankfully, they have been deemed as day-to-day by the club.
Hart is heading into a big season and will be trying to bounce back from an underwhelming 2022-23 campaign. In 45 games, he had a 13-24-7 record to go along with a .905 SV%. Overall, the 24-year-old once again was unable to find his previous form, and now starting this season with a lower-body injury is not the best of news.
Atkinson's ailment is an upper-body injury. The Flyers will be hoping that the 33-year-old's injury remains day-to-day, as he's a big part of their offense. In his first year as a Flyer last year, he had 23 goals to go along with a solid 50 points.
Anisimov is currently on a PTO, so he will be aiming to return as quickly as possible. After a year in the KHL, the 34-year-old is looking to return to the sport's most competitive league in 2022-23.
