Anaheim Ducks Release Prospect From PTO
The Anaheim Ducks have released Charles Cote from his PTO.
Cote signed a PTO with the Ducks as an undrafted free agent. The 6-foot-6 defenseman was aiming to make a good impression to earn himself an entry-level contract with Anaheim, but at this juncture, it appears that this will not be coming to fruition.
Yet, all hope is not lost for Cote. He is still only 18 years old and has plenty of time to raise his value as a prospect from here. He is set to return to the Rimouski Oceanic for this campaign. In 35 games with the QMJHL squad last season, he had two goals, eight points, and 25 penalty minutes. Let's see if his offensive totals go up this season from here.
