Anaheim Ducks Sign Prospect
The Anaheim Ducks have signed Tyson Hinds to a three-year, entry-level contract.
The Ducks selected Hinds with the 76th overall pick of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. The 19-year-old split this past season between the Rimouski Oceanic and Sherbrooke Phoenix, where he had 12 goals and 35 points in 61 games. Overall, those were pretty solid numbers for him, and now he will be aiming to build on them this campaign in the QMJHL.
If Hinds continues to progress in the manner he has been, he could be an NHL defenseman in a few years. Therefore, it makes sense that the Ducks have given him his ELC at the end of the day.
