Anaheim Ducks star Trevor Zegras left Wednesday's game early after taking a big hit from Arizona Coyotes forward Jan Jenik.

Immediately following the play, Adam Henrique stood up for Zegras and dropped the gloves with Jenik. This was a great response from the veteran and potential Ducks captain candidate, but especially when noting that Henrique is not known for being a physical play. You never want to see a top, young player like Zegras take a big hit, but this is especially so in a preseason game.

At the time of this writing, there has not been an update on Zegras' condition. Here's to hoping that this was simply a precautionary decision by the Ducks and that the youngster does not have to miss regular-season time from here.
