Arizona Coyotes Trade Rumors: Latest on Jakob Chychrun Deal
The Arizona Coyotes are still actively discussing trade scenarios involving defenseman Jakob Chychrun. The mobile defenseman is skating however won't be joining the club just yet for training camp as he recovers from injury.
Jakob Chychrun admits he took the Coyotes up on an offer of trying to be traded so he could play for a team that could compete for a playoff spot, rather than endure the rebuild. That obviously did not happen but that is still his wish.

The 24-year-old Chychrun is coming off a 'down' season, recording 21 points in 47 games. He's still oozing with potential and it's likely he'll make his way to a team's top-two pair once a deal comes to fruition. The former first-round pick is capable of 50-plus point seasons and making an impact all over the ice.
The Ottawa Senators continue to be the frontrunners in Chychrun talks as they have the young assets the Coyotes are looking for and the player has ties to the area, which could bode well for a contract extension down the road. Here's what Chychrun had to say on all the hoopla this offseason:
