Boston Bruins: 3 Bold Predictions For 2022-23 Season

The Boston Bruins head into the 2022-23 season with a new head coach, some familiar faces returning and a ton of question marks surrounding their team. The Bruins finished last season fourth in the Atlantic Division with a record of 51-26-5, however finished first in the division in goals allowed with 220. They'll look to become a more complete team under new coach Jim Montgomery, let's dive into some bold predictions for the Bruins this season:

Taylor Hall Scores 40 Goals

With Brad Marchand on the sidelines for the foreseeable future, look for Taylor Hall to step up in a major way. He'll be given first-line type minutes along with more power-play time, and this should increase his production.

Hall has put the past drama behind him and is ready to break out in Boston. He scored 20 goals last season, 40's on the way in 2022-23.

Jeremy Swayman Enters Vezina Conversation

While the tandem approach has worked out seamlessly for the Bruins as Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark have become best buds, this will be the season Swayman takes his game to the next level. The 23-year-old is the goalie of the future in Boston and he'll see more action in 2022-23. Expect him to build off his .911 SV.% in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and be lights out for the Bruins this season.

David Pastrnak Signs Massive Extension

Pastrnak is a pending unrestricted free agent who currently makes $6.66 million against the cap. While Bruins management hasn't drafted well over the years, they've done a very good job with their cap management. Pastrnak is here to blow all that up as he'll be looking for a new deal north of $10 million. The Bruins need to pay up and expect them to. I predict the deal gets done at some point before Christmas.
