Buffalo Sabres to Name Captain
While speaking with reporters, Buffalo Sabres GM Kevyn Adams announced that the team will name their next captain before the start of the regular season.
Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News also reported that Kyle Okposo "is expected to be the next captain" for the Sabres, so we will need to see if the 34-year-old winger is given the 'C' from here. The Minnesota native was noted for his excellent leadership last season, so it wouldn't be surprising to see this come to fruition.
Other acceptable options include Alex Tuch, Zemgus Girgensons, Tage Thompson, and Rasmus Dahlin. No matter who Adams chooses, a new captain will soon be here for Buffalo!
