At the end of the 2021-22 season, Hossa signed a one-day contract with the Blackhawks as a way to retire as a member of Original Six club. It's clear that the organization possesses an immense degree for the Hall of Famer, so it isn't all too surprising that they have decided to retire his number from here.
Hossa was a major part of the Blackhawks' three Stanley Cup wins during the 2010s, as his offensive ability and marvelous leadership was integral to their dynasty. In 534 games as a Blackhawk, he had 186 goals to go along with 415 points.
Nevertheless, save the date, Blackhawk fans!
