Colorado Avalanche Place 6 Players on Waivers

The Colorado Avalanche have cut their training camp roster down pretty significantly, as they have placed Brad Hunt, Jonas Johansson, Andreas Englund, Charles Hudon, Spencer Smallman, and Joshua Jacobs all on waivers.

Out of the bunch, Hunt is the most notable player hitting the waiver wire. The 34-year-old just inked a two-year deal with the Avalanche this offseason and is coming off of a 17-point campaign in 50 games. Teams looking for some depth on defense could certainly decide to claim him.

As for Johansson, Englund, Hudon, Smallman, and Jacobs, they were not expected to make the Avalanche's roster. Johansson could get some attention on the waiver wire if a team is dealing with injury trouble or is looking for more depth. The others should have no trouble passing through, but time will tell what happens on that front from here.
