Columbus Blue Jackets Sign 2 Players to PTOs
The Columbus Blue Jackets have added two players to their training camp roster, as they have signed Victor Rask and Ben Harpur to professional tryout contracts.
Rask’s 2021-22 season was a difficult one. The Minnesota Wild sent the 29-year-down to the AHL in the middle of the year before he was traded to the Seattle Kraken. With the Kraken, he produced fairly well, however, as he had eight points in 18 games. Now, he will be hoping to carry that play over to camp in hopes of landing a contract.

Harpur, on the other hand, spent this past season as a depth defenseman for the Nashville Predators. When called up to the NHL squad, he played in 19 games, where he had one assist and a minus-10 rating. Overall, the 6-foot-6 defenseman could be a decent depth option to consider, so let’s see if he can earn himself a two-way with Columbus from here.
