Edmonton Oilers Re-Sign Forward

The Edmonton Oilers have re-signed Ryan McLeod to a one-year, $798,000 contract.

McLeod was the Oilers' final restricted free agent, and now they have inked him to a very team-friendly contract. This deal will allow him to fit on Edmonton's NHL roster with ease, which in turn, benefits both the team and player immensely.

McLeod just completed his first full season with the Oilers in 2021-22. Overall, it was a solid year for the 23-year-old, as he had nine goals and 21 points in 71 games. This kind of production was solid to see from the Mississauga native, and he will be aiming to build on it this year. He's expected to take on third-line minutes as well, so he's in a position to succeed.

Nevertheless, great work by GM Ken Holland with this one. Let's see how much McLeod progresses this campaign from here.
