"That's the plan," when I asked if he
wanted to play further after current contract expires at season end.
Quick is entering the final season of his contract, so naturally, fans had been wondering if this would be the veteran's last year in the NHL. Yet, if the veteran has it his way, he will continue to play past this season.
After a few years of struggling, Quick showed this past season that he is still a solid netminder in the NHL. In 46 games, he had a 23-13-9 record to go along with a 2.59 GAA and .910 SV%. If he can replicate this kind of season in 2022-23, he should have zero trouble landing another contract next summer.
