Ottawa Senators Prospect Heading Back to Junior
Heading into training camp, Ottawa Senators prospect Zack Ostapchuk was aiming to make the club's NHL roster. Yet, that has no chance of coming to fruition now, as the 19-year-old will be missing the next few weeks and will be sent back to junior once is healthy.

Ostapchuk's injury couldn't have come at a worse time. Training camp is set to begin during that period, and it's an immensely important time for young players like Ostapchuk to make an impact. Yet, this injury has now taken his chance away to do that, and he will be looking to have a big year in junior because of it.
After the playoff performance that Ostapcuk just put up for the Vancouver Giants, it seemed possible that he would make Ottawa's roster. In 12 postseason games for the squad, he scored seven goals and recorded a very impressive 23 points. That raised the 2021 second-round pick's value as a prospect, naturally.
Alas, we will need to see how he does with the Giants this campaign.
