Philadelphia Flyers Winger Impressing at Training Camp
According to Sam Carchidi of Philadelphia Hockey Now, Hayden Hogdson has been impressive at training camp and is a candidate to make the Flyers' regular-season roster.
After spending the previous five seasons in the ECHL, Hodgson had a breakout campaign with the Flyers' AHL affiliate last season, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. In 46 games with the team, he had 19 goals, 12 assists, and a whopping 70 penalty minutes. His decent scoring touch and immense physicality could make him a nice fit in the Flyers' bottom six if he continues to impress at camp.
Hodgson also played his first six NHL games with the Flyers last season, where he scored a goal and had two assists. It will be intriguing to see if he gets the chance to improve on these stats with the NHL squad in 2022-23.
