Seattle Kraken Forward Suspended 2 Games
NHL Player Safety has announced that Seattle Kraken forward Jacob Melanson has been suspended two games for his illegal check to the head on Edmonton Oilers forward James Hamblin.

Ultimately, this decision isn't too surprising, as Melanson's hit made direct contact Hamblin's head. It also did not help the 19-year-old's chances to avoid suspension when noting that Hamblin already let go of the puck and that it was a blindside hit.
