Vegas Golden Knights Sign Prospect
The Vegas Golden Knights have signed Joe Fleming to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Fleming joined the Golden Knights for training camp this year as an undrafted prospect. Although he was cut from their roster earlier this week, it is clear that he has left a solid impression, as evidenced by him inking this ELC. Now, Vegas officially has a new prospect in their system.
Fleming is an old-fashioned, tough-as-nails defenseman. The Wellesley, Massachusetts native spent this past season in the USHL with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, where he had two goals and 16 points in 60 games. More notably, however, he had a whopping 202 penalty minutes. The 6-foot defenseman isn't afraid of playing a physical game, and it will be fun to see how that translates over to professional hockey later down the road.
Nevertheless, this could be a good little signing for the Golden Knights.
