4 Chicago Blackhawks Placed on Waivers
The Chicago Blackhawks have placed Nicolas Beaudin, Dylan Sikura, Brett Seney, and Luke Philp on waivers.
Out of this quartet, Beaudin surely stands out the most. The 22-year-old defenseman was selected with the 27th overall pick of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by Chicago, but he has yet to cement himself as a full-time NHL defenseman. After recording 10 points in nine games for the Rockford IceHogs in 2020-21, he only had 16 points in 66 games for the AHL squad last season. That is a major decrease in production and probably why Chicago isn't too afraid to lose him on waivers.
After spending the last two seasons with the Vegas Golden Knights and then Colorado Avalanche, Sikura returned to Chicago this offseason. In 58 career games, he has three goals and 17 points.
Seney appeared in two games for the Toronto Maple Leafs last season, where he was held without a point. With the Toronto Marlies, he had a very good season, as he recorded a solid 59 points in 62 games.
As for Philp, the 26-year-old center scored 21 goals and had 44 points in 66 games with the Stockton Heat last season.
