Anaheim Ducks Claim Forward Off Waivers

The Anaheim Ducks have claimed Brett Leason off of waivers from the Washington Capitals.

When it was announced that Leason was hitting the waiver wire, it did raise suspicion over the possibility of him getting claimed. Keep in mind, he is a 6-foot-5 versatile forward who is still only 23 years old. Therefore, he has some upside and could end up being a part of Anaheim's bottom six heading into the new season.

In 36 games as a rookie last year with the Capitals, Leason had three goals to go along with three assists. We will have to wait and see how he does as a Duck from here.
