Anaheim Ducks Place Defenseman on Waivers
The Anaheim Ducks have placed Josh Mahura on waivers.
Mahura played in 38 games for the Ducks last season, where he had three goals, four assists, and a minus-14 rating. Overall, it is fair to say that he did struggle a bit in the NHL, but given his fairly young age (24) and potential upside, we could see a team claim him off waivers. If not, he will be starting the season back with the San Diego Gulls.
The Gulls would definitely love to have him back because he was one of their top contributors from the point last year. In 28 games for the team, he scored six goals and recorded 20 points.
Alas, it will be intriguing to see if another team decides to take a chance on the St. Albert native from here.
