No real surprises (at least for me) on the list of Tucson assignments.
Also, D Maksymilian Szuber & F Julian Lutz were returned to Munich (DEL), D Jeremy Langlois to Cape Breton (QMJHL) & G Christopher Gibson was released from PTO. pic.twitter.com/VSbWJd8nWI
This news comes shortly after the Coyotes claimed fellow goaltender Jonas Johansson off waivers. This decision made an unsigned Gibson expendable, and now he will be aiming to find a new home elsehere before the start of the regular season - whether that is in North America or overseas.
Gibson has 16 career NHL games on his resume over four seasons. During them, he put together a 4-5-3 record, 3.33 GAA, and .901 SV%. Teams in need of some goaltending depth in the AHL could give the 29-year-old a call, so it will be intriguing to see if the Finnish netminder can find a new home from here.
