Barratt is a native of Philadelphia and heads 'home' to play in the Flyers organization. He's 23 and has recorded seven penalty minutes in two AHL games so far this season. He's 6-foot and enjoyed a career season in 2021-22, recording 14 goals and 28 points in the AHL. Barratt was selected in the third round (90th overall) at the 2017 NHL draft. The Penn State product won the silver medal with Team USA during the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship.
As for Zech, he tallied 11 points in 53 games last season with Lehigh Valley in 2021-22. A career AHLer, he's recorded 36 points from the back end in 131 AHL games. A minor deal for sure as two players needed a change of scenery and had their wishes granted.
