Blackhawks Forward Placed on IR
The red-hot Chicago Blackhawks have been dealt some bad news, as Tyler Johnson has been placed on injured reserve.
Johnson suffered an ankle injury on Tuesday, so this IR placement could have been predicted. Still, that does not this development any better, and that is especially true when noting that Johnson has been excellent right out of the gate. In six games so far this season, he has two goals and four assists. It appears that the 32-year-old forward is well on his way to having a bounce-back campaign.
At the time of this writing, an estimated recovery time has not been established. Yet, at a minimum, he will be out for the next week due to this IR placement.
