Blues Sign Forward
Before training camp, the St. Louis Blues signed Tyler Pitlick to a PTO. Although it did not lead to a contract for the season, things have changed on that front one month later. The Blues have now signed the veteran forward to a one-year, $750,000 contract.
This signing comes after the Blues placed Pavel Buchnevich on IR. The Blues' forward group has been dealing with plenty of injuries to start the season, so it makes sense for them to bring in Pitlick in a depth role. Now, the 30-year-old will be aiming to become a mainstay in their bottom six from here.
Pitlick spent this past season split between the Montreal Canadiens and Montreal Canadiens, where he had a goal and four assists in 39 games. Overall, it was a down year for the 6-foot-2 forward, so it will be intriguing to see if he can bounce back as a Blue from here.
