Boston Bruins Forward Leaves Game Injured
The Boston Bruins had an excellent opening night that saw them defeat the Washington Capitals by a 5-2 final score. However, it did come with a cost, as Jake DeBrusk left the contest early with an upper-body injury.
This is certainly concerning news, as Brad Marchand, Charlie McAvoy, and Matt Grzelcyk are already out for the Bruins - leaving them noticeably shorthanded. Due to this, players like DeBrusk are being asked to step up, but now there's a chance that the 2015 first-round pick will have to miss time.
DeBrusk is coming off of a season that saw him score 25 goals and record 42 points in 77 games. At the time of this writing, an update on the severity of his injury has not been announced. Here's to hoping it is nothing major and he does not have to miss any game action from here.
