Boston Bruins Place 3 Players On Waivers
The Boston Bruins have placed Nick Foligno, Mike Reilly, and Chris Wagner on waivers.
Foligno is coming off of a season that saw him score only two goals and record 13 points in 64 games. Given the fact that it was such a down year for him, it seemed possible that the Bruins would place the veteran winger and his $3.8 million cap hit on waivers. It is unlikely another team will claim him, but if he's sent down to the Providence Bruins, Boston will get some cap relief.
Reilly is the most surprising name of the bunch. Although he also had a down 2021-22 season, the Bruins are heading into the season with several injuries on the backend. In 70 games last season, he had four goals to go along with 17 points.
This is the second year in a row that Wagner has been placed on waivers right before the regular season begins. In 62 games last season with Providence, he had 15 goals and 27 points.
