Boston Bruins Place 4 Players on Waivers
The Boston Bruins have made a handful of cuts from their training camp roster, as Keith Kinkaid, Vinni Lettieri, Joona Koopanen, and Dan Renouf have all been placed on waivers.
Kinkaid's waiver placement was inevitable, as the Bruins have a strong Jeremy Swayman-Linus Ullmark tandem heading into the season. Yet, even if so, Kinkaid looked quite solid in the preseason for Boston and should serve as a good third-string netminder for them - assuming he clears waivers.
Lettieri played in 31 games last season with the Anaheim Ducks, where he had five goals and 10 points. Due to the Bruins' forward depth, the 5-foot-11 center was not expected to make the team, but he should be a good scorer for the Providence Bruins.
Koopanen, a 6-foot-5 center, had 11 goals and 30 points in 62 games for Providence last season. As for Renouf, he played in four games with the Detroit Red Wings last season, where he had zero points and a minus-2 rating.
