Calgary Flames Sign Defenseman
The Calgary Flames have signed Michael Stone to a one-year, $750,000 contract.
Stone inked a PTO with the Flames before training camp began. The 32-year-old played the last six seasons with Calgary, and now his tenure with the club will be hitting year number seven. With this move, the Flames will once again have Stone as a solid depth option as they aim to make a push for the Stanley Cup in 2022-23.
Although he was not called upon often last season, Stone produced when utilized by the Flames. In 11 regular-season games, he had two goals to go along with four assists. With that, he had a solid five points in nine playoff games. Overall, not bad numbers at all from the defensive defenseman, so let's see what he does for the team from here.
