Capitals Winger Out Long-Term
The Washington Capitals have placed Connor Brown on injured reserve due to a lower-body injury. With that, the Capitals have announced that the winger will be out long-term.
This is certainly very rough news to hear. Brown's IR placement is not too surprising, however, as he left Monday's game early against the Vancouver Canucks early after receiving a big hit from Noah Juulsen. Yet, him being out long-term because of it is more surprising and simply bad for the Capitals.
Brown was acquired by the Capitals to bring a bit more skill to their middle six. In 64 games this past season with the Ottawa Senators, he had 10 goals to go along with 29 assists. Here's to hoping that his long-term injury does not take away too much of his season.
