Carolina Hurricanes Defenseman Leaves Game Injured
During Tuesday's preseason game against the Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Dylan Coghlan left early due to a lower-body injury.
This is certainly rough news, as Coghlan is set to begin his first season as a Hurricane. The 24-year-old is coming off of a strong season that saw him score three goals and set a new career-high with 13 points. After a campaign like this, Carolina fans are excited to see what he can do this regular season, and now there's a chance that they will have to wait a bit on that front.
At the time of this writing, an update on Coghlan's status has not been announced by the club nor player. Here's to hoping that his removal from the game was just a precautionary decision and nothing too serious.
